Many new Jottacloud users already have photos or files stored in another cloud service. To keep everything in one place, you can easily download your files to your computer and then upload them to Jottacloud.
Below you’ll find simple step-by-step instructions for downloading from Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, and iCloud.
1. Download files from Dropbox
Go to dropbox.com and sign in.
Navigate to the files or folders you want to download.
Select the items.
Click Download.
Files are downloaded as a ZIP file. Extract it afterward.
2. Download files from Microsoft OneDrive
Go to onedrive.com and log in.
Select the files or folders you want to download.
Click Download in the top menu.
Extract the ZIP file after downloading.
3. Download files from Google Drive
Go to drive.google.com and sign in.
Select the files or folders you want to download.
Right-click and choose Download.
Google Drive creates a ZIP file. Extract it before uploading to Jottacloud.
4. Download files and photos from Apple iCloud
iCloud Drive (files):
Go to icloud.com and sign in.
Select iCloud Drive.
Choose the files or folders to download.
Click the Download icon.
iCloud Photos:
Go to icloud.com → Photos.
Select the photos/videos.
Click Download.
Tip: For large photo libraries, download in smaller batches.
Upload your files to Jottacloud
Via the Jottacloud web
Go to jottacloud.com and log in.
Open Files.
Click Upload.
Select your downloaded files.
Via the Jottacloud app for Windows/Mac (recommended for large transfers)
Download the app from jottacloud.com/download
Install and sign in.
Choose which folders should be backed up or synced.
Move the downloaded files into one of these folders to upload automatically.
Upload photos via the mobile app
Install the Jottacloud mobile app.
Enable Automatic Backup.
You can also upload photos manually.
Tips
Upload in smaller batches if you have a lot of data.
Always extract ZIP files before uploading.
Avoid uploading system files.
Use the desktop app for large or long uploads.
