Release notes for the macOS desktop app

This article contains the changelog for the macos version of the desktop app

  • File actions are now available in the file browsers of files on the server. Copying, moving, renaming, creating new folders, deleting, etc.

  • Sync will no longer refuse to download anything if it can't fit the whole selected lot of files on the disk, instead showing an error for just the files that won't be able to fit.

  • - In order to make backups reflect the actual state of the computer, one backup "device" can only be linked to one login.

    • Logging in on a new computer requires creating a new backup device.

    • Logging out and back in again requires creating a new backup device.

    • Creating a new device does not mean reuploading files that already exist on the account. They will merely be identified by checksum and copied on internally on the server

  • When deleting a backup in the app the remote backup is moved to trash

  • When renaming a backup (if its location/name changed) in the app the remote backup is also renamed
